The Steps

The new Wolf's Path is the result of many small and large adjustments, which have been verified in the field. Thus the steps 4, 5 and 8 have been considerably modified and the number of steps to complete the entire trek amounts now to 14.
The alternative route from Poggio Moiano has remained the same, while the one in the 8b step now starts from Filettino village. The travel distance from the starting point in Tivoli up to the arrival in Civitella Alfedena, is about 190 km (118 miles).

Another interesting novelty is the ring within the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise in 5 steps. With this trek, conceived in the late 90s, one can explore in a matter of days as many as 3 Protected Areas, which preserve the pre-Apennines and the Apennines on the right orographic side of the Aniene Valley, to reach one of the two National Parks that has been first established in the early 20s of the last century!
